Working with the Community!

The KS1 quiet area on the playground had long  been in need of a makeover to say the least! With the help of Mrs Grierson, the School Council appealed to a local charity organisation to see if they could help.

On Saturday 16th May 2015, Bearsted Round Table (http://www.bearstedrt.co.uk)  spent the day giving something back to the local community by fixing up this  neglected area. Work started at 8:30am with a team of about 12 volunteers who finally finished work on it at about 8 o’ clock that evening.

I am sure you will agree that the garden area now looks fantastic! On behalf of all of the children in KS1, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who gave up their Saturday to make this happen!
