Year 5 represented the school at the handball festival. This was the first time the event had been held, the rules were changed at the last minute and what with some timetable changes the event was a challenge in more ways than one. Our team were strong, determined and adaptable making sure that they persevered and faced their battles with great sportsmanship.

We won, we drew and we lost games but the children dealt with each situation honourably and played fairly throughout. The day was jam packed with laughter and gave the children the chance to socialise with children from other schools across the Maidstone district.

Arthur Hicks showed exceptional behavior towards our opponents and often congratulated individuals on their performances from both our school and the opposition. Isaac Steel scored some super goals too! The whole team remembered what they had learnt in their training and played some fantastic ‘set-ups’ for one another.

A very big well done team – can’t wait for next year!
