Wallaby Class had a fantastic time in Term 5! We visited Morrisons, we found tadpoles in the pond, we grew a grass caterpillar, we made cherry pies and tried a variety of foods. In Term 6, we will continue to work towards the Early Learning Goals by following the interests of the children. For example, the children have loved exploring the woods and have asked that we research many of our discoveries next term. This includes plants, trees and flowers, birds and animals, and especially the interesting pond life that we have found. We are also looking forward to our school trip to The Rare Breeds Centre in July; please make sure that you have completed the permission slip for you child to share this wonderful experience with us.
Please remember the websites that you can access at home (links below) and there are many free apps available for phones and tablets. The websites offer opportunities to practise basic phonics and maths skills and are enjoyable too! One last thing, below is the link to the Government’s Early Years Foundation Stage. This sets out the expectations for children at the end of the year in reception.
Daci is learning really well. I love the fact that the children are pushed to their full potential.
It was very nice to be able to view Oliver’s work and see how he is progressing. Thank you for the opportunity.
“My child really enjoyed this Play and Stay and so did I as a parent. Nothing to improve – really pleased!”

Thanks for inviting me to do a story session with your school. I found the whole experience very rewarding as both children, and teachers were open to engage with me, and participated in listening to the stories, dressing up, singing and dancing.

“The behaviour of the Year 5 children was a credit to the school when we were out on the road.”

At the end of every lesson I know a bit more than before.
