KS1 took part in their first ever multi skills event that the School Games held at Greenfields Primary School.

The children competed in a range of events covering many different skills from speed bounce and slalom to bowling and balance activities. As the event was held indoors there were some space restrictions which meant that children had to compete individually which can affect confidence, motivation and drive as there is no one to challenge yourself against. This did not put the children off and they fought against their own abilities to push themselves to do the very best they could in each event.

Daniel and Kalan proved that their speed bouncing super powers were no match for anyone else at the event with both boys taking the top position for the day with the highest score in the allotted time.

The running events were a challenge as the children needed to keep themselves energised for the full amount of time but Isla’s encouragement and motivational talks to her team meant that they were able to beat the top score of the day in yet another event.

Overall the children competed in 12 different events against 20 other teams where the children’s fitness, stamina, strength, aim and mental endurance were put to the test and we are please to announce that Molehill Primary Academy are the 2019 WINNNERS of the KS1 mulit-skills event. We have some very talented children who have the mental strength to pursue their goal with focus, grit and determination – we are very proud of them and would like to congratulate them on their hard work.
